Every Cedar Sense sauna begins with hand-selected Western Red Cedar, prized for its natural resistance to moisture and its rich, aromatic warmth. Our craftsmen shape each plank with care, building saunas that are as beautiful as they are enduring.

THE WORKSHOP
A practice, not a production line
Our workshop is small on purpose. A handful of craftspeople, a few benches, and the slow rhythm of cedar being shaped — that is the whole operation, and we would not have it any other way.
Working at this scale means we can answer the phone, walk a customer through a custom dimension, and personally inspect every sauna before it leaves the shop. It also means we make fewer saunas each year, and that is exactly the point.
When something takes time, it tends to last. Our customers feel that the moment they step inside.

Three principles we will not compromise
Sourced with Intention
We hand-select every plank of Western Red Cedar from sustainable mills, choosing only the tightest grain and richest color. Nothing leaves our workshop without passing the same scrutiny we would give a sauna built for our own homes.
Built by People, Not Machines
Each joint is cut, fitted, and finished by craftspeople who have spent decades working with cedar. Their hands carry knowledge that no production line can replicate, and that knowledge lives inside every sauna we ship.
